My last wedding in May saw me back at Dumfries House for the first time in, let me think, well, quite a long time really. I’d only been here once before and that was only for the ceremony so, in many ways, it was all new to me, to an extent. My day kicked off in Kilmarnock with Gemma and the girls for a few bridal prep shots…nothing staged, all documentary, before heading off on the short trip to St. Joseph’s for a few quick shots with Gavin and the guys. Then back to the house before heading back to the church for the ceremony…never let it be said that I don’t put in the miles :-).
Dumfries House is a beautiful building in amazing surroundings and, of course, we used the glorious backdrops for quite a lot of the more formal shots. But, sometimes, it’s good to look beyond these and, for the majority of the guys’ bride & groom photo-shoot, we ended up using a wooded area on the edge of the grounds…all in the name of variety.
Gemma & Gavin, a big thank you for choosing me to shoot your wedding day. Here’s just a few of my own favourites which I hope you like – click on any image to enlarge.
Please leave a comment…I love to know what you think
Family & friends (plus anyone else who might stop by), it would be fantastic if you could leave a comment at the bottom of the post (using either of the comment box options) as I love to hear what you think :-). Also, if you really like these pictures, why not give me a “Like” on my Facebook page to keep in touch with what I’m up to – would be great to have you on board!
