So guys, a few weeks back I was out yet again for the fourth time since restrictions eased a wee bit. This time, I was down at the fabulous Western House Hotel in Ayr, my first visit there in many many years, for Kara & mark’s “micro wedding” – now there’s a phrase we’re starting to get used to these days!
As I said in my last post though, I really like shooting these smaller, shorter day weddings … totally relaxed without the usual time constraints of a wedding day. This time around, it was just the ceremony and a few family and couple shots afterwards for me, before heading off. The guys do have a bigger full day planned for 2022 as well though so that’s kinda the best of both worlds I think, and of course I’m very much looking forward to shooting that when the time comes :-).
Here’s Kara & Mark’s take on the day …
For three years, we had been planning our ‘dream’ wedding only for a global pandemic to put a stop to those plans. While we had to postpone the original wedding plans, we decided that we didn’t want to postpone getting married, so we decided to plan a micro wedding. From years to now only weeks of planning, we managed to have a perfect, intimate wedding ceremony with our families. We were so glad that Mike was able to capture some photos of the day for us, as he has helped give us memories to treasure. We are so glad to have had Mike as our wedding photographer and can’t wait to see the next round of photos from the wedding celebration in 2022!

Looking for some “Ninja Style” Wedding Photography?
Despite the current lockdown guys, I am very much still working so, if you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me…it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot! But, I will always make time for a very small number of family group shots and also, a short bride & groom shoot and here, it’s my aim to provide you with some truly fabulous pictures :-). I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2022 and 2023…but I do have a very limited number of “off peak” 2021 dates still available too (though not many Saturdays!)
