“Airth Castle” Wedding : Amy & Kevin

April was a fairly quiet month for me, strangely, as around Easter is often a fairly popular time for weddings, but with the tail end of the pandemic still bringing with it some restrictions on wedding days (face mask wearing for example), it wasn’t really too much of a surprise I guess. That said, the lack of numbers was certainly made up for by the quality, as they say, and for my first wedding of the month, on the first day of the monthto be exact, I was at the very fabulous Airth Castle for Amy & Kevin’s big day … and what a day!!!

I don’t pretend to be the best blogger on the planet, but I do usually try my best to put some context around the day itself to back up the pictures but, my goodness, it’s really not needed in this case. You’ve only got to look at the shots below to get a feel of what an utterly incredible day this was. Right from the lively vibe at the bridal prep through to the crowded dance floor in the evening, this was a day that had everything. If Carlsberg did weddings and all that …

Honestly, I’m saying no more … on with the pictures to tell the story of the day …

Amy & Kevin, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your amazing wedding day! Here’s a few of my favourite shots which I hope you all like.

Looking for “Documentary” Wedding Photography?

If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!

My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short bride & groom shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!

I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2023 and 2024 … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.

Full day coverage collections start at £1800 … but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).

Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).

Mike :-).
