So, a few weeks ago, I was out with Rochelle and Callum on their pre-wedding shoot at Blackness Castle, near Linlithgow, somewhere I’ve never been to before. In many ways, I guess the title of the post is just a touch inaccurate, as we didn’t actually get to go into Blackness Castle itself (professional photography not being allowed without prior permission…and a fee), but just around the grounds and surrounding areas. And boy, was it cold!
I don’t often feel the conditions myself on a shoot – often feels like when I get behind the camera, everything else around me, including weather conditions, pales into insignificance. But, today, even I’m feeling it…brrr! A brief respite was offered from the biting wind when we jumped a wall to get down onto the beach area but that didn’t last long before we were back into the Arctic conditions for the remainder of the shoot…but hey, we got some nice stuff :-).
win a portrait shoot
Rochelle & Callum, a massive thank you for going along with everything in some pretty awful conditions and I now look forward to your wedding in April. Here’s some of my favourite images from the day. Please do all leave a comment or two at the bottom of the post as it’s always very much appreciated. And, as a new little extra, each and every one of you who leaves a comment, will be entered into a monthly draw to win a portrait shoot worth £75.
Plus, what would be really fantastic, is a “Like” on my Facebook page as it’s always great to get new people on board and it’ll keep you bang up to date with what I’m up to.

Lovely pics – you both look so grown up though, it’s scary! Good luck for the big day. Karin xx
