2017 wedding season kicked off for me a bit later than previous years, as I found myself in the unusual position of not having a wedding to shoot until late into February…just the way it goes sometimes and it’s no bad thing to have a few weeks off to recharge the old batteries and all that :-).
Jenny & Calum’s wedding day took me slightly off the beaten track to where I usually shoot most weddings, although I will actually travel anywhere to shoot a wedding…no distance is too far. So, off I set for Anstruther Town Hall over in Fife, but not without a stop off in the beautiful seaside village of St. Monan’s first of all for some bridal prep shots.
On to Anstruther and the rain that had been hanging around earlier in the day cleared away to leave us with some dramatic cloudy skies…and those of you that follow my work will know by now that I do love a dramatic sky – it really was the perfect backdrop for our bride & groom shoot around the harbour :-). And, as a wee bonus, we even managed to get out for a short while after dinner for a nighttime shoot.
