Pre-Wedding Shoot at Callendar Park
Sharon & Steven

My second pre-wedding shoot in as many days took me a bit closer to home, Callendar Park in Falkirk to be exact, for Sharon & Steven’s shoot and, again, we got lucky with some sunny, albeit a touch breezy, conditions.

As a wee bonus, the guys brought along their dog and I say “amen to that” :-). Pre-wedding shoots can be whatever you want them to be…bring your dog, your kids if you have any, your parents to watch over the kids LOL…at the end of the day, it’s whatever makes you comfortable for being in front of the camera. Sure, we’ll do some shots of you guys on your own in preparation for the wedding day but, honestly, anything goes.

Ailie & Peter’s Pre-Wedding Shoot in Callendar Park

I seem to be doing quite a few pre-wedding shoots of late in Callendar Park, not that I’m complaining, as it’s only a few miles down the road and enables us to do some evening shoots at this time of year, such as tonight with Ailie & Peter. It’s a great time of the day to shoot, with the sun low in the sky (if it’s out of course) providing some great natural light without the usual harsh shadows that you would get earlier in the day – love it!

Caroline & George’s Pre-Wedding Shoot in Callendar Park

Out and about in Falkirk tonight on Caroline & George’s pre-wedding shoot, and yes, I did say tonight. That’s the wonderful thing about this time of year, especially here in Scotland, as the light pretty much holds until around 9pm or even later on a clear day. The guys wedding day is up and coming in only a couple of weeks, and I’m really looking forward to that one; in fact, I’ll more than likely be back here in Callendar Park again that day shooting the bride & groom shots – let’s hope the weather plays ball.

Marie & Thomas’ Pre-Wedding Shoot in Callendar Park

So, after a couple of weeks off (one planned and one not), I’m back in the groove today (wow, how eighties is that phrase – I sound like a radio DJ from a bygone era), and on pre-wedding shoot duty with Marie & Thomas. And, I’m close to home, just down the road in Falkirk at Callendar Park. I’ve done quite a few shoots here before and it’s a great location to just go off on a wander and see what transpires and that’s exactly what we do today.
