Start of a busy weekend for me with two pre-wedding shoots and a portrait session to cram in. Kicking off today with Kareen & Kenny on their pre-wedding shoot in Glasgow Green. The guys are getting married in September at Loch Lomond and I really hope that the weather then is much better than it is today – drizzly light rain and overcast conditions, but hey, it is what it is, and Kareen & Kenny come from the Isle of Lewis so it’s not as though we can postpone for another day.
Beautiful spring day today at the Garfield Hotel catching up with Jenna who is getting married to Gary in May at this very venue. The main purpose of our meeting was to discuss final timings and photography ideas for their big day but we also took the opportunity to take a few shots of Jenna just so that she could see how she looked on camera and get a feel for my style of photography.
Third pre-wedding shoot in as many weeks today and this time out on patrol with Kirstie & David who are getting married in June at Mar Hall and I’m really looking forward to that as Mar Hall is a great venue. Early 10am start today which was just as well as we managed to catch the best of the weather before the rain came down and, of course, with the sun still fairly low in the sky, we managed to get some georgous backlit images.
Some portrait photography for me today. I knew Euan from back in my RBS days, and he got in touch recently to ask if I would do a family portrait session which would include himself, brother, sister and all their kids. It was touch and go whether we would do these inside or out, but the rain...
