So as my 2022 weddings neared the finish line, I found myself back at the wonderful Brig o’ Doon House Hotel, on a Tuesday no less, for Lauren & Johnny’s big day! Fair to say I don’t get to shoot many weddings on a Tuesday (or any other weekday apart from Friday) but I’m good to go any day of the week … and I did like the symmetry of numbers in the date – 22:11:22.
In fact, Lauren & Johnny’s wedding had been on my books longer than any other booking, with the guys originally booking back in 2018 for a 2021 wedding – if I remember correctly, they actually booked me before they booked their original venue :-). But then COVID happened and a change of date and venue later, here we all were on a crisp and clear November day last year.
So what of the day? Well I’ve got to say it was definitely worth the wait – so many fabulous moments and emotions to capture and, you know what, they always say a picture is worth a thousand words so, instead of a thousand words, I’ll leave you with the pictures …

Looking for “Documentary” Wedding Photography?
If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2024 & 2025 but do still have some limited availability for this year too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.
