It’s been a wee while since I last posted any new weddings to the blog, and there’s a reason for that – yes folks, I’ve been away on a cheeky ten days in sunny Kos, brushing up on my Greek, sampling the local beers etc etc LOL. But back now and off and running once again as we head into the final straight for this years weddings.
So back at the start of August then, I was out and about on my first ever visit to Cormiston Farm down in Biggar, to shoot Megan & Robbie’s big day … and what a fabulous day it was too!!! We’ve had a lot of rain days of late and this too was one of them – touch and go at first as to whether the ceremony would be inside or outside but, despite some early optimism (and much staring at the sky trying to predict which way the dark clouds would move), inside won the day (definitely the right decision given the persistent heavy rain that followed). But hey, a little rain never put a dampner on a wedding day … none that I’ve shot anyway :-).
But did we get outside at all? Well hell yeah – granted it was underneath the trees that provided, shall we say some “semi” shelter from the elements, as we raced as quickly as possible through a few group shots followed by a brief couple shoot – but short and sweet with the posed stuff is pretty much how I roll these days anyway, so all was good! And then it was back to the marquee to resume the party and for me to shoot the stuff I really like :-).
Honestly, this truly was a brilliant day to shoot … but don’t take my word for it … just check out the pictures below …
Megan & Robbie, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous wedding day! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.
Please do leave a comment though … it’s very much appreciated 🙂 – there’s a comment box right at the end of the pics!
On with the pictures …

Need A Ninja?
If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!
Not sure if this is for you? Why not check this out for more details!
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2025 & 2026 but do still have some limited availability for 2024 too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.
