At the end of October, I headed down into Ayrshire for my first ever visit to Enterkine House … and what a stunning venue it is. It’s not very often these days that I get to go to a new venue – 500’ish weddings down the line I think I’ve pretty much been to most places these days – but venues come (and go, sadly) so there’s always the possiblity for somewhere new every now and then.
Gillian & William’s big day was part 2 of my wedding “double header” weekend and, yep, it was another of those autumnal drizzly and overcast days – but hey, inclement weather never stood in the way of a good party, certainly not at any of the weddings I’ve shot anyway!
So what of the day? I’ve always had this theory that the tone of the day can very much be determined by the vibe during the bridal prep … and I think I was pretty much bang on with this one – take a look at the pictures and you’ll see what I mean :-). Was great also to catch up with Lisa & Alan who’s wedding I shot back in 2018 … although it did take me a while to recall this fact LOL, such is my concentration on the job, so to speak, as it should be!
Anyway, what a truly fabulous day all round with a brilliant couple and crowd. Enough waffling then, on with the pictures …

Looking for “Documentary” Wedding Photography?
If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2024 & 2025 but do still have some limited availability for this year too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.
