My last wedding of 2025 and what a way to finish up … definitely went out with a bang as they say!!!

I’ve had this theory for many a year now that you can always get a great feel for how a wedding is going to pan out based on the “vibe” at the morning bridal prep and, again, I was proved right … not blowing my own trumpet or anything! Such a great energy that carried on right till I left in the evening and, probably safe to say, long into the night too.

With the civil ceremony taking place first up at the gorgeous Edinburgh City Chambers, we were perfectly placed for a few couple shots on the Royal Mile and a quick stop at The Vennel before heading along to the Ghillie Dhu (one of my favourite venues btw) for the evening reception where the party “really” got started.

Looking for Ghillie Dhu Wedding Photography … or anywhere for that matter?

If you’re getting married (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!

My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast! For the past three years, I’ve been recognised by the WPJA as Scotland’s top ranked wedding photojournalist, so you know you’re in safe hands. And, last year, I was very honoured to be ranked as one of the Top 10 Photographers in the World in their Artistic Guild category … thank you guys!
