So as I sit here typing this with the rain lashing against the window, let me take you back to warmer times this year by sharing the first of two weddings I shot back in June, when I was close to home at the fabulous Glenskirlie Castle for Angela & Craig’s big day :-).
It was certainly unusual to have just two weddings in June with it traditionally being one of the more popular months for bookings. In years gone by I’ve often shot 7 or 8, and even next year I already have 6 bookings for that month, so 2022 was clearly just an anomaly it seems – more time to catch up with editing and album designs though LOL.
So what of the day itself? Well, it started with rain and ended with sunshine :-). But, weather report aside, it was just such a chilled day – just a sprinkling of “posed” (I hate that word LOL) shots before and after dinner, leaving everyone to just get on and enjoy the day itself, with me capturing it in my own usual “ninja” documentary stlye. On with the pictures to tell the story …

Looking for “Documentary” Wedding Photography?
If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short bride & groom shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2023 and 2024 … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.
Full day coverage collections start at £1800 … but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).
