Towards the end of June, I was back for the first time in many many years at one of my local venues, the Inchyra in Grangemouth, to shoot Janet & Lewis’ big day. This was to be part one of a rare wedding “double header” weekend for me.
In contrast to years gone by, these days, I don’t often do “double headers” but, there’s always an exception and, with the venue pretty much on my doorstep, and no bridal prep required, I was more than happy to make myself available, and so glad that I did to shoot this fabulous day!
You’ll know that I shoot weddings in a primarily documentary, candid style, preferring to capture “real” moments rather than staged ones however, there is still a place for a few group shots and a quick couple shoot (or two), but, in my book, these should be super quick and not take over the day, so hats off to the guys for sharing my philosophy – about 30 mins and we were done … and amen to that I say!
So I was just left to do my thing, wander around in the glorious sunshine (it was boiling by the way) and capture all the goings on … and there were plenty of those! Just check out the pics below.
Janet & Lewis, it was great to be with you all on your amazing day shooting your wedding photography at the Inchyra and thank you very much for choosing me! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.
Please feel free to leave a comment if you like … it’s very much appreciated 🙂 – there’s a comment box right at the end of the pics!

Looking for Inchyra Wedding Photography … or anywhere for that matter?
If you’re getting married (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast! Find out more here about the way I work.
For the past three years, I’ve been recognised by the WPJA as Scotland’s top ranked wedding photojournalist, so you know you’re in safe hands :-).
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2026 & 2027 but do still have some limited availability for this year too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times. So do get in touch asap guys to check my availability.
