Having shot over 500 weddings now, it’s not often these days that I get to shoot at a new venue but, such was the case back in mid August when I took the trip south of Edinburgh to The Stair Arms Hotel for Kelsea & Andrew’s big day.
You guys probably know that I don’t go overboard when it comes to couple shoots (just a couple of quick 10/15 mins sessions does the job), but, when we do them, give me a choice of backdrops and a beach or a hay field are top of my list; so how pleased was I then when I saw what was out the back of the venue!
Hay fields aside though, the day itself was just a blast from start to finish – the best days really are those when there’s just so much going on all around that I actually have to make a choice what to shoot – do I shoot what’s going on in front of me or what’s behind me (ideally both if I can) but, trust me, it’s a good problem to have!
Kelsea & Andrew, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous wedding day! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.

Need A Ninja?
If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!

I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2025 & 2026 but do still have some limited availability for 2024 too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.
