There was a point in time when I used to be so behind with blogging the fabulous wedding days that I am so lucky to shoot, that it would literally be a different season when I posted, sometimes a different year even, from the one in which the wedding took place. Thankfully, those days are behind me and today, I’m taking you back just under a month when I was back at the fabulous Balbirnie House shooting Siiri & Grant’s big day!
I know every photographer will probably say this but, I generally do believe that I get to shoot “the” very best weddings! And Dawn & Greg’s big day at the fabulous Balbirnie House was certainly no exception! The wedding took place at the start of November and, for me, was part one of another “double header” weekend, my second in as many weeks – yep, certainly was a busy time of year!
The third of my “triple header” wedding weekend took me back to one of my favourite venues, the award winning Balbirnie House, for the wedding of Joanne & Darren. Balbirnie’s one of those venues that, even if it rains, it still has plenty to offer indoors by way of great photography locations…but no such problems this day as, the same as all my weddings this weekend, the weather was spot on :-).
So guys, last of my five weddings in nine days and, curiously, the second wedding in three days where I’m a guest as well as the photographer. Today with Alana & Scott at the very beautiful Balbirnie House and, wouldn’t you know it, it’s a bit on the chilly side once again. What on earth is happening with the weather at the moment – we really should be at the point by now where we’re not getting goosebumps each time we step outside. Funnily enough, Alana & Scott’s pre-wedding shoot will always stick in my mind as well, as it was by far the coldest shoot I’ve ever done, and will probably remain so for some time, unless I get a destination wedding in Russia in winter anytime soon :-).
