Well, September was certainly a month for amazing weddings I’ve got to say! Four weddings, one each weekend, all very unique and all very fabulous. And today, I’m delighted to be sharing the first of those with you guys when I ventured over to Fife on my first ever visit to the Backhouse Rossie Estate to shoot Christie & Pasha’s big day.
I’ve probably said this before but I love to get out to new venues. It’s kind of a rare things these days, having been kicking around for 14 years now and shooting over 500 weddings, I’ve probably been to most places before. Of course, a new venue always brings with it that slight air of uncertainty, but I needn’t have worried as Backhouse Rossie was simply gorgeous – so many unique places to shoot … and what a stunning location for the ceremony too! Here’s hoping I get to come back for more in the future.
As for the day itself, well, what can I say! Just about as chilled out as chilled out can be – perfect for the way I shoot! As usual, I shot most of the day in my candid, documentary style, breaking away briefly for some relaxed (and good fun) group shots and two quick couple shoots, one before and one after dinner, the latter making use of the glorious hazy sunset.
As usual though, the pictures will tell the story of the day far better than any words from me …
Christie & Pasha, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous wedding day! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.
Please feel free to leave a comment if you like … it’s very much appreciated 🙂 – there’s a comment box right at the end of the pics!

Like what you see … want to book me?
If you’re getting married (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!
For the past two years, I’ve been recognised by the WPJA as Scotland’s top ranked wedding photojournalist, so you know you’re in safe hands :-).
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2025 & 2026 but do still have some limited availability for this year too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times. So do get in touch asap guys to check my availability.
