Managed to squeeze in another new blog post before I take a short break off guys and, wouldn’t you know it, I’m still fairly up to date with the old blogging so, today taking you back then just a few weeks when, on a gorgeous sunny Monday (yep, a Monday), I was back once again at one of my absolute favourite venues, the fabulous Cornhill Castle, to shoot Stephanie & Andrew’s big day.
I’ve always had a theory that you can get a good idea of how the day is going to go from the vibe you get from shooting the bridal prep in the morning and again, my theory was pretty much bang on – what an amazing day from start to finish full of emotion and fun with just so many wonderful moments for me to capture as I adopted my usual low-key approach to shooting it all.
I’ve often been asked just how “low-key” is my low-key approach? Well, here’s the thing, I’m not invisible but I’m certainly not in your face all day either – I call it “hiding in plain sight”. Aside from a short amount of time set aside for some group shots and a couple shoot (or two), absolutely nothing is posed or directed – I really do just shoot what I see :-). If you don’t see me much on the day, well, that’s a good thing in my book – I do chat to you and your guests though – bit hard for me to go through the whole day without speaking after all!
Anyway, enough waffle from me … as always, the pictures will tell the story of the day better than I can …
Stephanie & Andrew, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your amazing wedding day! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.
Please do leave a comment though … it’s very much appreciated 🙂 – there’s a comment box right at the end of the pics!
