“Hartree Estates” Wedding : Elaine & Gillies

Well guys, what a difference a few months make! Sitting here just now, getting ready for my last wedding of the year tomorrow, icy roads and snow falling – very different from the warm summer day at the end of July when I ventured south on my first ever visit to Hartree Estates for Elaine & Gillies’ big day :-).

Let me just say this … I love shooting at new venues! Honestly, these days, 12 years and nearly 500 weddings since I launched the business, it’s fairly rare and, in most cases, new venues tend to be just that, ie a newly establised venue, not just one that I personally haven’t been to before. And with all that comes the initial “feet finding” of a new venue, finding the best places to shoot, the best light, the best indoor spots (in case of rain) etc etc – it can be daunting but, on the flip side, gives you the opportunity for something new too … which is never a bad thing :-).

So what of Hartree Estates :-). Well, let’s just say that if I never get to shoot there again I’d be pretty disappointed – that pretty much tells you all you need to know. But, of course, you still need a cracking wedding as well and, from the get go, that was never in doubt – what an amazing day so, enough from me, on with the pictures to tell the story of the day …

Elaine & Gillies, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your fabulous day! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.

Looking for “Documentary” Wedding Photography?

If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!

My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short bride & groom shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!

I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2023 and 2024 … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.

Full day coverage collections start at £1800 … but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).

Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).

Mike :-).
