“Hilly Cow Wigwams” Wedding : Lisa & Kenny

So those of you that follow my blog regularly (you know who you are LOL) will know that I always take a “mid-season break” at the start of July and, this year, I was lucky enough to get away to Kos again for a couple of weeks – a well needed rest and a chance to practice my Greek again … it never gets any easier by the way … “ine diskalo” as they say over there!

Lisa & Kenny’s big day at the end of July kicked off what was, for me, my busiest period of the year and with it, a trip to a new venue. Honestly, after 12 years in business and nearly 500 weddings, it’s quite a rare thing to visit a new venue these days … but it’s always very welcome :-). Hilly Cow Wigwams is situated on a working farm in Kirknewton, West Lothian and fair to say it’s a wee bit off the beaten track … it had my satnav beaten for once LOL. But hey, what a fabulous, unique venue it is, so here’s hoping there’s more visits to come.

Most of you know that my photography style on the wedding day is very documentary, very candid, minimal posing, and that very much suited the guys, allowing everyone to just get on and have a fabulously amazing time without breaking away every few minutes for tons of intricately posed pictures … that’s just not me … I’m at my happiest when left to rome LOL. Anyway, enough waffle from me, on with the pictures …

Lisa & Kenny, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your amazing wedding day! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.

Looking for “Documentary” Wedding Photography?

If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!

My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short bride & groom shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!

I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2023 and 2024 … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.

Full day coverage collections start at £1800 … but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).

Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).

Mike :-).
