So guys, for my final wedding of September, I was out and about at yet another new venue (make that three in total for September) when I headed to the Redhurst Hotel, just south of Glasgow, to shoot Jenna & John’s big day. I’ve mentioned in previous posts how fabulous all my September weddings had been and this was certainly no exception to round things off.
Weather wise, well it couldn’t have been better really for late September – in fact, looking back now, this was probably the last decent weather day that I had out shooting – subsequent gigs have all been either wet or cold (or both)!
Per the norm, I shot the day in my usual 90% documentary, reportage, storytelling style. My main goal is always to tell the real story of the day and sometimes that does mean not always shooting the obvious – in fact, it’s often the more quirky moments that are the best! But it’sall those “moments” that I’m always on the look out for … and there were certainly plenty of those on this day right from bridal prep through to the start of the dancing – looked like it was gonna be a great night!
As usual though, the pictures will tell the story far better than any words from me …
Jenna & John, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your amazing wedding day! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.
Please feel free to leave a comment if you like … it’s very much appreciated 🙂 – there’s a comment box right at the end of the pics!

Like what you see … want to book me?
If you’re getting married (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!
For the past two years, I’ve been recognised by the WPJA as Scotland’s top ranked wedding photojournalist, so you know you’re in safe hands :-).
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2025 & 2026 but do still have some limited availability for this year too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times. So do get in touch asap guys to check my availability.
