Continuing then guys with “spectacular September” (check out my last couple of posts), and, for my third wedding of that month, I was back for the first time in quite a while at the fabulous Bachilton Barn, this time to shoot Bryony & Gareth’s amazing day!
I love shooting barn weddings – in fact, according to a recent survey, they were the most popular type of wedding venue in the UK for last year, a fact I learnt from one of the questions on “Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel” last week – who knew! I think it’s the very laid back chilled out vibe that I’m drawn to – really suits my random documentary style of shooting the day. And on top of that, you then have some very unique backdrops for pictures as well – fields, dirt tracks, outbuildings, hay bales etc etc.
I could go on and tell you all about the day but, as usual, the pictures will tell the story far better than any words from me …
Bryony & Gareth, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your amazing wedding day! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.
Please feel free to leave a comment if you like … it’s very much appreciated 🙂 – there’s a comment box right at the end of the pics!

Like what you see … want to book me?
If you’re getting married (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short couple shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!
For the past two years, I’ve been recognised by the WPJA as Scotland’s top ranked wedding photojournalist, so you know you’re in safe hands :-).
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2025 & 2026 but do still have some limited availability for this year too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times. So do get in touch asap guys to check my availability.
