Every year, there’s always one wedding that I can look back on and consider that very day to be the one where summer ended, at least for me as far as weddings go. That day where it was still warm and sunny enough to go out after dinner without a jacket, or the like. That day where there was still light in the sky into the early evening. That very day last year was the fabulous day I spent with Alexis & Iain back in September at one of my favourite venues, The Cruin, on Loch Lomond. Hold the back page … we even got an outdoor ceremony!!!
Yep, after that, it all changed – cold, sometimes wet & dark, but more of that in future posts LOL.
The guys’ big day was yet another of those impacted by COVID, with the original date planned for 2020 (and at a different venue too). And, at one point, it looked like I myself might not be available for their rearranged date as I was due to be out of the country at that time. But hey, these things all work out in the end and, with my overseas trip cancelled, it was off to the bonny banks :-). Honestly, is there a better backdrop for a wedding – if there is, I haven’t found it yet!
So guys, enough of my waffling, on with the pictures …
Alexis & Iain, thank you very much for choosing me to shoot your amazing day! Here’s a few of my own favourite shots which I hope you all like.
Looking for “Documentary” Wedding Photography?
If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short bride & groom shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2024 & 2025 but do still have some limited availability for this year too … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.
Full day coverage collections start at £1800 … but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).
Oh, and please do feel free to leave a comment at the bottom of the page, as I do really love to know what you think :-).
Mike :-).
