New wedding to post for you today guys and, I know I must be catching up on my blogging, when I tell you that it’s only from last month, middle of October to be precise and, that day, I was honoured to be shooting Siobhan & Jamie’s wedding day, kicking off at St. Mark’s Church in Rutherglen before moving on to the Crutherland House Hotel in East Kilbride. We’d not long before done the guys’ pre-wedding shoot in Glasgow, in fact, if memory serves me right (and trust me, these days I’m more often wrong than right :-(), it was only in August that Siobhan and Jamie first came to see me and ended up booking, so things have moved pretty quickly all round.
I kicked off as usual with a few shots of Siobhan and the girls pre-ceremony at her parents house before moving on to the church. I must give a big shout out to the priest at St. Mark’s for being very accommodating towards the photography, even suggesting ways in which I could move from one part of the church to the other unseen. I don’t often find this very much these days, especially with church ceremonies, where most of the time I’m banished to a small corner to do the best I can (and sometimes not allowed to photograph at all), so very refreshing to find a church that is very accommodating in this day and age :-).
On to the Crutherland for the group shots and then, my favourite part of the day, the bride & groom shots where we got some great images with beautiful autumnal colours. Some very entertaining speeches as well although I never did find out why Jamie’s best man, Andrew, was called “Spanish” Andrew, there’s obviously a story in there to tell! Perhaps someone can enlighten me in the comments below.
Siobhan & Jamie, a big thank you for asking me to photograph your special day. Here’s just a few of my own favourite images – the full set, as usual, can be found in the online gallery (password required).
If you like these images, please do leave a comment or two at the bottom of the post as it’s always very much appreciated. Plus, what would be really fantastic, is a “Like” on my Facebook page as it’s always great to get new people on board.

Highly recommend. He’s apparently called ‘Spanish’ because he took Spanish lessons!!
Stunning pictures Jamie & Siobhan! Congratulations and big hugs all round 🙂 xxx
Not only were you unobtrusive, your photography is excellent. Other photographers could learn a lot from you. Your work, which is outstanding, went a long way to ensuring that the day went smoothly. Fantastic job!! I will be happy to recommend you to anyone requiring a photographer.
We are over the moon with our gorgeous pictures, both the wedding photographs and our pre-wedding shoot. Mike was fantastic from day one, such a lovely guy, easy to work with and so professional too. I’ve been to weddings where the photographer spent two hours with the couple taking photos and we really didn’t want that, I think all of our group and couple shots were taken in about 30-40 minutes?!! Amazing! And my parents didn’t even know Mike was still at the wedding during the speeches and first dances as he was so discreet, incredible. We couldn’t be happier and we can’t wait to select our album and show off our photos to everyone. A massive thanks to Mike, and I think a few of our friends will be booking over the next few years!
Siobhan, Gerry & Kathleen, thank you very very much for your kind words. For me, it’s so important that you enjoy your day and don’t spend too long on the photography – after all, it’s your wedding and not a photo-shoot :-).
Of course, big thanks to yourselves as well for being very organised when it came to your family group shots as this always makes a big difference and helps me no end.
Thank you once again for choosing me to photograph your wedding and be part of your special day.
