So here we are again guys … after a couple of weeks away in sunny Kos :-), I’m back with more from last year and, this time around, I’m very pleased to be featuring some shots from my 32nd, and final, wedding of last year when I headed over to the west coast to shoot Terri & Alan’s big day at the fabulous Western House Hotel in Ayr. For those that follow my blog (you know who you are LOL), you’ll know that this was the third wedding in a row that I’d shot an “Alan” … not the same one though, of course!
There’s always that “end of season” feeling when you shoot the last wedding of the year and it’s a good time to look back and contemplate on how things have gone. From my perspective, my shooting style had moved even further towards the documentary approach that I favour (though still with a small sprinkling of “arty” couple shots) and I’d cut down the number of weddings I shoot to around 30 – a far cry from the days when I used to half kill myself shooting over 70 a year!!! Yep, it was a good year :-). And, what a fabulous way to round it all off by shooting this amazing day with the guys … and some fog too no less!
Anyway, no more waffle … on with the pictures to tell the story of the day …

Looking for “Documentary” Wedding Photography?
If you’re on the look-out for a wedding photographer (or know someone who is), then you may just like my “ninja style” (a couple’s words, not mine) low key approach to the day! Most couples tell me they didn’t even notice me for the majority of the day and that suits me … it is your wedding day after all, not a photo-shoot!
My style is very unposed, unfussy and focuses more on documenting your day rather than directing it. Minimal group shots (or even none at all if you prefer) and short bride & groom shoots allow you spend more of the day with the people that matter and have a total blast!
I’m mainly taking bookings now for 2023 and 2024 … but I do now only shoot one wedding per weekend so dates can be very limited during peak times.
Full day coverage collections start at £1800 … but don’t forget my cheeky wee discount where you can save up to £500 :-).
