“Radstone Hotel” Wedding / Dawn & Chris

I kicked off my run of August weddings with a trip back once again to the fabulous Radstone Hotel, this time to shoot Dawn & Chris’ big day! Fair to say I’ve been to the venue a few times now – at least a couple of times per year since my first visit in 2019 (save for 2020 of course for obvious reasons). So I know my way around!

“Brewdog” Wedding / Hazel & Harry

July is generally a quiet month for me! Yep, you heard right; slap bang in the middle of peak wedding season, I take time out to try and get away somewhere for a couple of weeks and, having kids of a high school age, means it has to be July (unless I want to run the wrath of the school authorities) – honestly, the number of enquiries I turn away each year for July weddings is mind blowing.

“Edinburgh Corn Exchange” Wedding / Marie & Shawn

Back with a bang on the blog today and featuring part two of a rare “wedding double header” for me back at the end of June – yes, two weddings in two days … I don’t do many of those these days! This was also to be the last wedding before my mid year summer hols, yep, we all need a break from time to time … and what a way to finish up!

I’ve written a couple of posts over the years about the way I work, so thought it was about time for an update with a fresh perspective. I’ll delve into “how” I shoot the day, “why” I work this way and provide a little insight into how it differs from more traditional wedding photography. So, strap yourselves in guys, here we go …

“Inchyra” Wedding / Janet & Lewis

Towards the end of June, I was back for the first time in many many years at one of my local venues, the Inchyra in Grangemouth, to shoot Janet & Lewis’ big day. This was to be part one of a rare wedding “double header” weekend for me.
